Specialty Coffee
Specialty Coffee is not just a term that can be thrown around. The term ‘Specialty Coffee’ or ‘Speciality Coffee’ was first used in the 1970s in the Tea and Coffee Trade Journal and is used to refer to coffee that is graded 80 points or above on a scale of 100 points by a certified coffee taster from the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) or by a Q Grader, who is licensed by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI). Most coffee doesn't make the cut and therefore is not part of PortHarbor.com’s Specialty Coffee.
